    Event Manager - Waterless Beauty

    The event manager directs the planning and execution of all meetings and special events in the Americas region - including but not limited to conventions, incentive trips, regional exhibitions, virtual events, etc.
    The successful candidate will have an event marketing and industry background that includes managing multiple projects concurrently, a track record of meeting deadlines and staying within budget, and excellent communication skills. Review and approve final selections of venues, menus, vendors, technology and other event supporting services. Negotiate, review and accept supplier contracts.

    Part Time
    Hours: 15-20 hours/week
    Part-time remote / part-time in the office



    What you will do

    • Plan incentive trips
    • Plan congresses and product fairs
    • Execute incentive travel plans
    • Execute plans for conventions and product exhibitions
    • Create event content
    • Implement an event communication strategy
    • Research industry trends
    • Build camaraderie in the team

      What you will need

      • Bachelor's degree in a related field
      • 5-7+ years experience in the events industry
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
      • Ability to manage multiple projects and team members within a team environment
      • Ability to travel in connection with running events and to work late nights/weekends
      • Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
      • Knowledge of contract and supplier negotiations
      • Knowledge and understanding of complex event tools and registration software
      • Experience in leading and executing various corporate events
      • Ability to work cross-departmentally with functional colleagues
      • Prior knowledge of creating and managing budgets
      • Able to drive strategic initiatives through others while achieving results themselves
      • Passionate about creating unforgettable experiences for customers and sales leaders

      • Can resolve escalated issues arising from operations that require coordination with other departments
      • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage
      • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced and stressful environment
