Where does it come from?
Gluconolactone is derived from glucose, a naturally occurring sugar obtained from plant sources such as corn. Through a controlled fermentation and oxidation process, glucose is converted into gluconic acid, which naturally forms gluconolactone. It is then purified for use in cosmetic and skincare products.
