Where does it come from?
Lactic acid is naturally found in sour milk products such as yogurt and buttermilk, as well as in fermented vegetables like sauerkraut and kimchi. It is produced through the fermentation of lactose (milk sugar) by lactic acid bacterium.
Exfoliation: Lactic acid exfoliates the skin by sloughing off dead skin cells on the surface, promoting a smoother and more radiant complexion.
