What is it?

Our Olea Arbequina Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil is a bioactive, cold-pressed oil naturally rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, essential nutrients, vitamins, and fatty acids. Sourced from wild, mountain-grown olive trees in Andalusia, within our protected natural reserve, these trees grow as part of a thriving ecosystem that supports biodiversity, soil health, and long-term sustainability. A defining quality is its naturally high polyphenol content, ranging by harvest, from 300–465 mg/kg. These bioactive compounds contribute to the oil’s premium quality and protect the skin from environmental factors. Gently cold-pressed at low temperatures, the oil retains its natural composition without refining beyond filtrationβ€”preserving its purity, potency, and integrity. Serving as a natural rejuvenating source, it promotes cell regeneration, soothes irritation, rehydrates, and protects the skinβ€˜s natural barrier function. At OLIVEDA, we replace dead or refined oils found in traditional skincare products with our bioactive, alive olive oil. Bioactive means that all of the nutrients are intact and have not undergone any refining or further processing aside from filtration.

Where does it come from?

Our olive oil is derived from the bio-liquefaction of fresh Arbequina olives grown within our conservation of over 30,000 mountain olive trees in Andalusia. These groves are eco-certified under CAAE Organic Certification standards, ensuring that cultivation and production meet strict environmental and quality requirements.
Rather than conventional agriculture, these trees grow within a protected natural environment that supports biodiversity and soil vitality. Olive Tree People actively maintain this ecosystem, contributing to oxygen production, carbon balance, and a more diverse habitat compared to traditional monoculture farming. The oleic acid content of the 2025 harvest was 79%. The polyphenol content ranges by harvest from 300–465 mg/kg.
This is the heart of our β€œFrom Tree to Beauty” philosophyβ€”protecting nature while delivering powerful, bioactive products.

How is it used in our products?

Olea Europaea (olive) fruit oil is cold-pressed from our own Arbequina olives. It is included to provide bioactive essential nutrients, vitamins, and powerful antioxidants - as well as for its renowned rejuvenating and protecting benefits. It soothes irritation and promotes hydration as it supports the natural barrier function.Β It is gentle and also suitable for sensitive skin types.

Olea Europaea Arbequina Olive Fruit Oil, like all of our olive-based products, is organically eco-certified.

Olea Europaea (olive) fruit oil (or leaf extract) is usually the first ingredient in all products from OLIVEDA, LA DOPE, OLIVE ROSE, and "is that Matty?". It replaces the dead or refined oils found in traditional skincare.
