Where does it come from?
Cinnamal is primarily derived from the bark of cinnamon tree species such as Cinnamomum verum (true cinnamon) and Cinnamomum cassia (cassia or Chinese cinnamon). It can also be found in smaller quantities in other plants and essential oils, contributing to their characteristic aromas. The compound is extracted through steam distillation of the plant material.

Included for its effectiveness and sensory appeal, the growth inhibiting properties in cinnamal can also act as a natural preservative in our products. Its purifying properties help to cleanse the skin and minimize irritation. Its antioxidant properties help combat the effects of free radicals on the skin. This helps in minimizing signs of maturing skin and maintaining skin vibrance.
