What is it?
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is a bioactive lipid compound naturally present in the human body. It belongs to a group of fatty acid amides known as N-acylethanolamines and plays a role in regulating skin comfort and irritation responses. In skincare, PEA works at a deeper level by supporting the skin’s endocannabinoid system — to calm irritation, minimize redness, and re-harmonize. The skin’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a biological signaling network present in the skin that helps regulate balance, comfort, and protective responses. It is part of the body’s larger endocannabinoid system, which helps maintain homeostasis (internal balance). Where does it come from?
Palmitoylethanolamide is naturally found in foods such as egg yolk, yellow peas, peanuts, and certain plant oils. Our PEA is a natural, highly bioavailable, and easily digestible vegetable protein derived from yellow peas which are non GMO and not synthesized.
